Mapping the journey to help

Researcher’s note
Participants laid out their own help-seeking pathways on paper — using drawings, Bengali text, and physical objects they brought from home. A chain, a padlock, red cloth, keys, medicine packets. Each object was placed by a community member to mark something they had encountered on the road to care. The journey runs from first signs of distress through traditional healers, family decisions, and eventually formal services — not as a straight line.
